The researchinvestigated how policy measures of Nigerian Ports Authority contribute to theattainment of its corporate goals and objectives. The hypotheses wereformulated and tested at a 0.05 level of significance. A corporate policy andorganizational performance e questionnaire was designed and validated by theresearcher. It was structured and administered to 110 randomly at theirregional office. Survey findings revealed that, there is a varying degree ofeffect between corporate policy and performance of Nigerian Ports Authority. Empiricalfinding using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation co-efficient indicatesthat there is no significant relationship between corporate policy and theperformance of Nigerian Ports Authority. consequents upon the above finding itis recommended that corporate policy should taken into consideration of allenvironmental factors affecting policies and strategies. Organizational goaland objectives should be considered before formulating policies and corporatepolicy issues must be identified and clarified.
