ABSTRACT
This study examined students’ Information and communication technology appreciation skill and academic performance in Minna Local Government Area of Niger State. The study adopted a descriptive research method to find out the relationship existing between the variables and draw inferences on the data to select five (33.3%) schools out of 15 secondary schools in Minna Local Government Area of Niger State. Five Secondary schools were randomly selected while in each secondary school selected, 20 students were also randomly selected to bring the total number of respondents to 100 students. It was discovered from the hypotheses testing that information and communication technology appreciation skill has significant influence on students’ academic performance. To meet the demand of modern education, it was recommended that:
Government should emphasize the need and importance of ICT tools for attaining educational goals and objectives
Government should shed more light on the importance and significance of ICT to students’ learning improvement
Government should fund education adequately to equip schools with ICT tools.
